Galatina is a town of Greek origin. Its most impressive monument is the 14th century Romanesque church of Santa Caterina d'Alessandria with frescoes by Francesco d'Arezzo from the 15th century. The church has a lovely Rose window and three carved doorways.
Otranto is one of the most important bathing locality of the south Italy. The history, the architecture, the views, the nightlife and the beaches of Otranto make it one of the most bustlin g cities of Apulia.
Castro is located midway on the Adriatic coast between Otranto and Santa Maria di Leuca. The coast is rocky, with many slapes to the sea. During its history, this maritime town was ruled by the Romans, Goths and Byzantines. Its main monuments are the Cathedral and the Castle.
